    lovely yarn

It's always difficult buying hand dyed yarns like this online, because the colours vary so much. I'm very happy with the colours in my two skeins. I haven't started knitting it yet, but it looks lovely and feels very soft. Just a thought re having to wind the yarn yourself; this does allow you to check the whole length of yarn before you start knitting :-)

    Inner Glow

This is my first experience with Malabrigo and my first with a sock yarn. I am having great fun knitting up a lace shawl - again a first. The yarn is absolutely beautiful, soft and fine. It has an inner glow to it with vibrant, deep, true colours. My only worry was how to open and rewind it. It comes in a long, twisted hank that is tied together with bits of yarn in several places. There were no instructions so I spent some time trying to find out how best to get it into a workable ball. I'm sure glad I didn't just go for it and cut the ties, but don't let that put you off. It's a one-time issue, but if you're new to it, find out what to do either through someone who has used it before or social network friends or a friendly yarn shop. Don't let it frighten you - it's some beautiful stuff to work with. I'm already planning to re-create the lace shawl for all the ladies in my family so I can use this wonderful yarn again.

Description

A soft, smoothly-plied, lightweight sock yarn spun from luxurious merino and treated to make it machine washable for easy care. Don't be fooled by the name - while it's certainly a treat for the feet, this delightful yarn is also a particular favourite for shawls and scarves!

Great for: lace, shawls, scarves, garments, baby and child items, gloves and of course socks!
