I got these for my partner for christmas and they loved them, the material used to make them is nicer to hold and just looks better in wood.
The best knitting needles I have ever used, would highly recommend them. Very smooth, do not snag yarn and comfortable in the hand.
I am slowly replacing my longer ones with the new shorter version... Not actually replacing as I'll certainly keep the long ones :-)
Normally I use the Knitpro zinc interchangeable needles but as I was knitting a scarf in a fine alpaca yarn I tried the ginger interchangeable needles and was positively surprised how nice they felt in my hands. It was a joy to knit with them. I will get some more seizes
Definitely a step up from my usual KnitPro Symphonie (fully compatible with dark red cords from those) - lovely polished wood... which means they are not quite so grippy. But still much more so than metal - just right for my arthritic hands. Altogether smooth and delightful to use.
This is the second pair of these wooden needles I've had which have snapped at the join, on almost first using. Very frustrating and expensive. I think the first pair were from another seller.
Lovely needles, bought them to try out as I love Symfonies, these are a great back up pair.

All Ginger needles are made from FSCTM certified wood, sourced from well managed European forests.
These tips need to be used with interchangeable cables, available separately. Ginger cables with matching brown metal ends are also available.

Choice of Length These tips come in two tip lengths. Choose from:
Standard Length - 12cm (4.75") long, a popular length for day-to-day use and medium / large projects.
Special Short Length - 8cm (3") long, good for smaller projects. Makes 40cm / 50cm circulars.
