Handy addition
To be honest I just bought these to bump up my order total to qualify for free postage but I can see they're going to be a very handy addition to my needle set.

I misread the description, i thought these were used to "close" the cable into a ring when you unscrew the needle tips. So i don't think i will you them because i have a large range of cable lenghts. But i still rate the product 5 stars because it is obviously a good quality product, and i think they are useful for someone who owns only short cables. And who knows, may i will use them after all!!

Really useful for those huge pick up tasks for carigan edging and the like, meaning stitches are lost and the work can be viewed properly.
I am not clear what the tightening slot is. I could only find a hole that appeared to be suitable for the usual cable key. Unfortunately while the long connection accepted the cable key correctly, neither the short connectors were drilled fully, and I had to use a watchmakers broach or reamer to enlarge the holes and make the connectors usable. When one looked at the connectors one could see that the hole on one side of the tube was smaller that that on the other. Woolstack reply: we're sorry to hear about the problems you've had. I purchased these adapters for my proline needles. I have been knitting for years with steel pins (preferably - I don't like the feel of plastic). I purchased the hard wood ones with the cable adapters and was advised to get the extensions. they a4re a joy to knit with and feel so nice.
