    Vintage Knitting

    Although I had purchased a full set of the rose interchangeable needles, I wanted to do some vintage knitting on smaller needles which were not available in the rose range. So I purchased these laminated wooden ones. Unfortunately one broke as I was putting it into the cable. I rang Kevin and he immediately sent a replacement. I used the needles and cable for my knitting which had 296 stitches on, it was not until I had to use straight needles later on in the knitting,(didn't have the correct size in interchangeable needles) did I realise how good the interchangeable needles were. My knitting on the straight needles was all bunched up and hard to work, whereas the interchangeable needles and cable allowed the work to spread out and knit more fuidly.

    Since I found them I won't use any other needles. These are so versatile, light but strong and so colorful!

    Revelation

    What a pleasure it is to knit -- just need to get used to using the correct needle cable, but just knitting to achieve stocking stitch is great. The needles themselves are so smooth and comfortable to use, going back to ordinary needles when needed is a chore!!

    Good needles.

    these needle tip are very good. the smaller sizes can break though so be careful how you hold them to screw on the wire. Always screw the tip onto the wire. if you screw the wire onto the tip you twist the wire and it unscrews itself.

    Knitpro interchangeable needles and wires.

    These needles are excellent. very smooth wood makes knitting very easy. When ordering the wire however order the actual length of wire you require not the overall length including the needles. Also be aware that the needles come in two lengths. Standard and Short. the Standard are best for most knitting patterns.

These beautiful Symfonie Wood Interchangeable Needle Tips from KNITPRO are ideal for anyone wishing to complement their existing collection of KNITPRO interchangeable circular needles

Of course the colour is what first catches your eye. But, the beauty is more than skin deep. The layers of laminated birch give the needles a strength that is missing in regular wooden needles.

The stability allows KnitPro to shape sharp points- particularly nice for lace knitting.

Being wood, the burnished surface has a slight grip so slick yarns like mohair and angora don't slip off at the wrong time. This quality also makes them an excellent choice for beginning knitters, who sometimes have trouble keeping stitches on the needles.

The tips are between approx 11.5cm and 13cm long (including metal base) depending on size.

They are designed for use with all KnitPro cables, except for the 40cm cable as this is designed specifically for KnitPro short tips. While the 40cm cable will attach to these tips, it will limit the angle you will be able to get between the tips to around 60 degrees.
