I like the covered metal cord. I like the metal stainless steel tips as they are not too slippy, and have just enough grip. I'm currently using them for "sticky" Shetland 4 ply - Wooden tips would have too much grip for this wool, but I don't like really slippy polished metal tips. These are just right.
Been knitting for many years and now mostly only use circular needles. Have tried lots of different manufacturers and found that Chiaogoo are by far the best. No problems with cords twisting. Highly recommend.

These chaiogoo red lace circular needles are excellent. There is no ridge at all and they don’t get tangled - even the long ones. I will only use these circulars. Love em. Thanks woolstack for A1 service. Very quick delivery. My first time but I will definitely be using again.
I really like these. The points don't split the yarn and the cable doesn't have a memory, even after long warehouse storage coiled in its packet. Take it out, undo the coil, and away you go, because it doesn't try to coil up again and hurt your wrists. Arrived very quickly too!
I love these red lace needles, I have bought several different makes in the past and these are the best. The joins between the needles and the wire is perfect, I have about eight different sizes of these and none of them catch when going from the needle to the wire. The only thing I notice is that the size on the needles has to be looked at in daylight, I would prefer it coloured so it would be easier to see.
These are my favourite circular needles. I use them for making baby blankets. They are so smooth, they do not catch going from the needle to the wire like some needles do. I have had some of these for a long time and they stay perfect. The only thing that could be better would be the size marking of the needles, it is etched on the needle but you have to get it in the right light to see it.
