KnitPro's Comby Sampler Set II is the ideal test set for introducing interchangeable needles to knitters. The set ncludes 3 pairs of needle tips – each in a different material: Karbonz, Nova Cubics and Zing each in a popular size. Needles are packaged in a clear vinyl case and includes no-kink cables and accessories. Experiment and decide which suits you best.
A bit about the needles:
Karbonz - combine unparalleled strength with beauty for an elegant appearance. Karbonz are made of carbon fibre, one of the strongest materials available today. Crafted to a smooth finish, the brass coated needle tips are finely honed and enable smooth knitting, easy pick up and excellent stitch definition.Warm to the touch like wood, but strong like metal.
Nova Cubics - square in shape and in trusted Nova, these unique needles assure a comfortable grip with fatigue-free knitting. The cuboid shape gradually gives way to perfectly tapered brass needle tips.
Zing - lustrous and light, these needles come in a spectrum of vibrant and lively colours. High-grade lightweight aluminium needles come in size-specific colours, with perfectly tapered smooth metal tips. Zing metal knitting needles are comfortable in the hand and pleasant to the touch. These are ideal knitting needles for beginners and experienced knitters alike. Each tip has its size laser printed on the needle.
Interchangeable needles work by screwing the end of the flexible cable into the needle tips, tightening with the cable key to ensure the cables don't come undone during knitting. Smooth joins enable stitches to slide easily from tip to cable.
These tips are standard length - approximately 12cm (4.75") long, a popular length for day-to-day use and medium / large projects.
Please Note: circular lengths are achieved when needle tips and cables are joined together. The length does not refer to the actual length of the cable on its own.
