Christmas 2023 Latest Posting Times

Posted by Kev on 17th Nov 2023

Royal Mail have released their recommended latest Christmas Posting dates for 2023.

At Woolstack we always aim to dispatch your orders quickly - normally the same or next working day. We then rely on Royal Mail and others to actually deliver your package safely and quickly to you.

In the lead up to Christmas the postal services come under lots more pressure and we always see many more packages taking longer than normal to arrive.

The good news is that there is no noticeable increase in the number of lost packages (which is a vanishingly small number at all times). We normally notice that the postal services give things an extra push to try and clear everything through before the big day.

However, you can be waiting days longer (or even weeks to some overseas destinations) - not great when you're trying to get things ready for Christmas!

While these are Royal Mail's recommended dates, they don't guarantee delivery - so we always recommend ordering early and not leaving it to the last minute.

Order No Later Than            Destination (& Service)
Mon 4 December
Africa, Central and South America, Asia, Australia, Caribbean, China (People’s Republic), Far and Middle East, New Zealand, Cyprus and Malta (Standard Postal Service)
Wed 6 December
All other International destinations (Standard Postal Service)
Sun 10 December
All International / non-UK destinations (Tracked Services Only)
Sun 17 December
UK (Royal Mail 48 / Royal Mail Tracked 48 / Free Postage)
Tue 19 December

Thu 21 December
UK - contact us

At risk of repeating, these are recommended last order dates. Based on our past experience with postal services worldwide some sent on these days will not arrive by Christmas. We will dispatch your order as quickly as we can, but then it's in the hands of Royal Mail, your local postal services and customs.

So, please, don't delay!

Any questions, please just get in contact - email is best. Hope you have a great Christmas!
