    Addi Sock Wonder 3mm

Bought this ready for my new boot socks. I already have the 2.5mm and really enjoyed knitting my last pair of socks. I wasn’t sure if I would like knitting with it but the longer length on one side definitely helps . Makes for a very portable project.

    Great, but with limitations

I prefer knitting socks with dpn’s, as I don’t like using magic loop method with circular needles on something as small as socks.
I took some time getting used to these little needles. I found the easiest method was to use Continental knitting for knit rows. Any purl rows (as I had in my pattern) were done using the Peruvian method of knitting. This worked quite well. Ordinary throwing method was used for rib stitch. Alternating between various methods reduced stiffness if my arthritic joints.

I got on well once i’d Worked out my strategy and really like them.
There is a downside- I did resort to using dpns to shape the toes, as I couldn’t manage the small number of stitches. Various tutorials suggest something similar to magic loop, but the cord is so tiny I couldn’t manage it.
Otherwise, great. And they’re super fast!

ADDI CIRCULAR "SOCK WONDER" NEEDLES - DIFFERENT LENGTH TIPS

It took a little while to get used to these but they are amazing and much easier to knit with than double pointed needles.

    Brilliant Little Innovation

It's years since I did any knitting, so I'm a beginner if not a novice. Decided to learn how to knit socks, but found fiddling with DPNs a little tiresome. Saw a friend using a tiny circular needle and discovered these Addi Sockwonder needles. Great for the straight bits, though you need DPNs for heel and toes of course. Results in quicker more evenly stitched rows for newbys like me. Can highly recommend. Have acquired a full set and aim to make a load of socks, mitts and slender little scarves with the lovely hand dyed yarns one can get nowadays.

    Best thing since sliced bread!

These needle are brilliant - I use them all the time for socks, mittens, wrist warmers so much easier and quicker than using dpn’s!

    Fantastic product

These are a great product. I have whizzed up two pairs of socks in the space of a week. Easy to use and easy to tuck in your bag to carry with you when you have a couple of mins to knit a row.
