I bought the sock knitting kit because l had always wanted to learn how to knit socks. As a novice 'socker' l wasn’t very good at first and had to knit and undo and knit again the first sock, it would have fitted a small giraffe, not very good at counting the rows !! I absolutely loved the wool and how clever the pattern made me look …. the first pair knitted were stolen by my daughter and as she is recovering from chemotherapy l didn’t really mind. l bought another ball of wool and knitted another pair and am now on the third pair. My daughter has asked for another pair as she loves the socks so much …. looks like l will be buying more wool very soon. I really enjoyed knitting the socks.

Another lovely yarn from Opal, I missed this shade when it was first released, the colour reminds me of liquorice allsorts!

Machine washable at 40C.
