    Malabrigo addiction

I love Malabrigo yarns with all my heart. They make the softest, most beautiful merino in the world. I'm knitting a jumper for my husband in this stone blue. It's a joy to work with (he has become a real expert in helping me to wind the hanks) and knits up perfectly on 6mm needles...subtly striped and bluer than it appears on my monitor. Like an air force blue.

    Beautiful colours

I love the Malabrigo colours and enjoyed working with this lovely yarn.

Description

This is it, the original Worsted that made Malabrigo an international favourite! A buttery-soft single ply of fine Uruguayan Merino wool, this yarn has excellent stitch definition, comes in an enormous rainbow of colours (solids, semisolids, and variegateds) and is deliciously squishy and cozy. It’s also fantastic for felting projects! Like all Malabrigo yarns, it is kettle-dyed in small batches by artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty.

Great for: Accessories and hand-wash-friendly garments, next-to-skin wear, cables, textured stitches, colourwork, felting, anything where warmth and comfort are a factor!

Yarn Weight:  Aran / Worsted
Blend:  100% Merino Wool
Ball Weight:  100g
Length:  192m (210 yards)
Needle Size:  5.5mm (US 9, UK 5) - 6.5mm (US 10.5, UK 3)
Tension:  18 stitches to 10cm/4"
Care Instructions:  Hand wash in cold water - dry flat

Note: Malabrigo comes in small dye lots so please be sure to buy enough yarn for your project. As with any hand dyed yarn, there can be significant shade differences between skeins, even within a dye lot, so we recommend that you alternate skeins every few rows to prevent striping.
