I have used this brand of cotton many many times but with this particular ball there were several knots and in places, it kept fraying. This is most unusual so I presume it was a one-off case. All the other balls I bought were perfect.
This is a perfect colour to go with the Prune and Ivory. I am happy with price and the cotton to use in my crochet projects. I have made a couple of runners and some coasters without any problems.

I normally use DMC Petra size 3 which is perfect for my crochet projects. However there is no Rose in the range. The nearest to Rose is in the Natura range. I find the cotton splits as I work it unlike the smoothness of the Petra 3. Also, it is expensive by comparison and the postage costs on top make this product not cost effective for me. This of course is the disadvantage of shopping on the internet. Perhaps a sample service would be useful for people like me who cannot seem to get the colour range in the cotton quality at a sensible price. Not normally known to be negative, but I do not have the funds yet in my crafting to carry expensive mistakes. Sorry
